Get Your Pet Checked – Veterinary Clinic in Playas del Coco

Last week my friend Dr. Sharine, the local veterinarian hosted a pet fair at her clinic, Pet House Clinic in Playas del Coco and it was a huge success. There were puppies and kittens for adoption, a dog whisperer, and a pet costume contest!

There are many stray dogs and cats in Costa Rica, especially in Coco. The amount of stray animals is a growing problem in Costa Rica and there are now many organizations dedicated to finding them forever homes and promoting castration.

Dr. Sharinne is the best in the area and works with the Adoption Foundation in Liberia to help animals find their forever homes. She not only treats dogs and cats, but other animals like the howler monkeys that sometimes get injured in the area.

If you’re in Coco (or anywhere close) and are looking for a new furry friend, contact her as she sees many stray animals that are in dire need of loving homes. She’s helped many dogs and cats find forever homes after being abandoned or abused.

If you need to get your pet checked up, buy pet food or supplies or have an emergency, head to her clinic. It’s on the way to Playa Ocotal across the street from Cocomarindo. She speaks both Spanish and English (her English is perfect) and you can call to make an appointment for vaccinations, check ups and surgeries.

Update. She now has a new clinic in Pueblito Norte near the entrance of the neighborhood Las Palmas with new equipment.

Her clinic Facebook page is PET House Clinic and her personal website is VetSharine.

Some of the dog outfits and colourings in this article are wonderful. Dressing up our pets has become very common but (thankfully) not here in Aus. I can’t imagine our four cavaliers with all different hair colours. LOL

Haha yea I could never do that to my dog either! The costumes are cute but I think dying the hair is a bit much for me too although I will say the poodles rocked it pretty well.
