Manuel Antonio Tours Discount FAQ

Does Tucanes Tours pick up at Airbnbs?

No, they do not so you will need to find the closest hotel to your location for pick up and drop off. It is best if you can walk there as majority of hotels do not let non-hotel guests park in their parking lot. If you have your own transportation, you can drive to the Tucanes Tours office in Quepos to meet the group.

I’m a solo traveler. Can I still get the discount?

Yes! But we do need to check availability because you can only join tours that are already open. If there are tours already running, then we can book you for it and give you the discount.

What is the cancellation policy?

If cancelled in less than 48 hours of pick up time and date, it is 100% penalty fee. No refunds for no shows.

But if you do want a full tour with roundtrip transportation, entrance fee and bilingual guide included, please feel free to fill out the form and write a note in the comments for a private service so we can get back to you via email

Hi Michelle, if you have your own transportation and want just a guide to the park, there are many guides for hire at the park entrance but you do need to buy your own park tickets. As soon as you park, you will be approached by a lot of people offering their guiding services for the park. We don’t book parasailing tours.

Hi, if you plan to drive yourself and buy your own park tickets, you can hire a guide directly from the park. The tours we offer include transportation, guide and park tickets but since you have your own transportation you can arrange it yourself. However if you would like to get the tour and meet the group at the national park entrance, that is an option too (no extra discount if you provide your own transportation). Rates are in the form

If our group of 6 adults would like to zip line but we also have a 2 year old, is it possible for us to still bring him and take turns watching him? He will of course not get on the zip line but we are wondering if it would work if someone stayed with him while the others zip lined and then walked with the baby to meet the others.

Hello, would love to know the major differences in taking tours at Manuel Antonio early in the morning versus around noon. Some research I’ve done suggests that you may see fewer species and wildlife out in the afternoon – others say there is not a big difference. Do you have any thoughts or information on whether a morning tour or afternoon tour would be best for wildlife spotting? Thank you so much. I would also love tour info emailed to me if possible for 2 adults and 2 children on 6/3/23.

Hi Jake, the price is the same if you don’t need transportation, there is no discount if you don’t take transportation. In that case, you’ll meet the group at the tour operator office

Can we get a discount to manual Antonio from you if it is just the park ticket?

No we don’t sell park tickets, you have to purchase your park ticket on the SINAC website. We only offer tours.

There is a public bus from Quepos to Manuel antonio about every 30 minutes or so, and then there are many naturalist guides for hire at the park entrance, just make sure to ask them to show you their ICT certification badge to prove they are a liecnsed and certified guide.

Do you have a discount to just enter the park? And, how do I buy tickets in advance?

No sorry, as that is a government park. You can purchase tickets online on the Coopealinaza website: parques.coopealianza.fi.cr/eventperformances.asp?evt=15
