Diamante Eco Adventure Park Discount FAQ

Do I need to make a reservation or can I show up without and still get the discount?

We now have 3 ways to get our discount!

  • Book and make a reservation via this form with us
  • Book online on the Diamante website to make reservations and use our “mytanfeet” promo code to get our discount
  • Arrive at the park without a reservation and tell the front desk our “mytanfeet” promo code

Booking with us:

We recommend to book via this form with us so that we can make your reservation and give you all the details and information regarding your tour. But you can perfectly book directly on the Diamante website, especially if you need transportation.

Booking online:

You can book all activities on the Diamante website and enter our “mytanfeet” promo code to get our discount. Best way if you need transportation or want to do multiple activities as you can book it all at once.

Arriving at the park without a reservation:

If you go to the park without a prior reservation, tell the front desk you’d like the “mytanfeet” discount and they will apply it when you pay.

However, we highly recommend reserving in advance online, especially in high season (December – May and June-August) for ziplining, horseback riding and ATV tours. The park gets super busy and if you just show up, you may not be guaranteed a spot at the time you want because there are only so many spaces.

Please remember you can only use one discount code at a time and if you book a tour with a tour operator or company, you can’t get the discount. If you need transportation and want the discount, make sure you book only transportation, not a tour.

How do I pay and get the Diamante discount Costa Rica?

The way this works is you fill out the form and we will send you the reservation. You’ll pay when you arrive at the front desk and they will apply the 10% discount.

What activities or passes does the park offer?

The park offers the following passes:

  1. Adventure pass: Ziplining, animal sanctuary, cultural experience, buffet lunch, botanical garden and ocean activities (use of hammocks, kayaks, snorkel equipment and SUP boards). This takes around 5-6 hours for the whole thing.
  2. Aerial pass: Ziplining tour. This canopy tour takes around 1 hour.
  3. Discovery pass: Animal sanctuary (self guided).
  4. Cultural experience. Animal sanctuary + 1 hour traditional house experience with cacao, chocolate and sugar cane

They also offer 1 hour ATV and horseback riding tours. You can get 10% off any of these activities too!

Does Diamante offer transportation?

Yes! From the Riu, they have a complimentary shuttle every 30 minutes which will be waiting in front of the lobby. If you need transportation, we recommend to book on their website or call them directly (if you don’t see your location on their website) because some locations require a minimum amount of passengers.

Our form only books the passes.

Where is their park?

Here is Diamante on Google Maps:

You don’t need a 4×4 to drive there as it’s on a paved road (though there are some pot holes). From Coco, it is about 30 minutes. From Tamarindo, it is about 1 hour and 20 minutes. It is right next to the Riu Hotel Guanacaste.

Is there an age or weight limit for the zipline or other activities?

The zipline requires a minimum weight of 86 lbs (40 kgs) for the whole canopy tour. It is 27 kgs (60 lbs) for the short ziplines. The maximum weight is 280 lbs. The minimum age for the horseback riding tour is 8 years old and 16 for the ATV tour to go on a single. For a child to go with an adult on the ATV tour, the minimum age is 8 years old.

I’m traveling alone. Can I still book the pass and get the discount?

Yes! Diamante is a large park so they always have activities going on and you can go as a solo traveler.

I’m not booking the Adventure Pass but I would like lunch. Can I add that to my reservation?

Yes! The easiest way is to add it when you arrive at the park. Just let the front desk know when you check in that you’d like to add lunch and they’ll charge you the total (no discount for lunch).

My 10 year old daughter is 67 lbs. How does it work if We want to go on the zip line your. Did she have to skip some of the lines? How many did she skip? How did she get from one station to the next if she can’t go on a line? Can she go with one of the guides?

If she doesn’t reach the minimum weight, she can’t do the superman zipline so she’ll skip that one and go directly to the other cable

If you don’t want to zipline or do the other activities offered at Diamante, the La Paz is very nice and the waterfalls are beautiful.

Hi! If we visit during end of August/ early Sept (Labor Day in the US) I understand it is light rainy season. Will all of these activities still be open and possible during that time?

They will close it if it’s lightning or storming too hard and that time does usually begin the heavier rains of the year. Usually it’s still good in the mornings but if it does happen to be storming they will cease operations.

Do they offer a more mellow zip line or only Superman? My son wants to try a more mellow one. Also, can we book just the sanctuary, cultural tour, lunch and SUP online (with transportation or could we walk to the RIu for free transportation)? Gracias !

Hi Laura! He can do the other lines but not the superman if he doesn’t want to. The Riu has free transportation to and from (shuttle only), there isn’t a direct trail access from the hotel. Diamante also have a fun jungle obstacle course for kids too.

Hi Dave, the last zipline tour at Diamante is at 330 PM and you have to check in 30 minutes before your zipline time to get ready.

For snorkeling, the ScubaCaribe has an operation center in the RIU and they offer snuba tours which is pretty awesome, we did it a few years ago. But for more snorkeling and beaches, the best way is to take a private boating tour since there are many beautiful white sand beaches and snorkeling spots that are boat access only. You can read more about it here and we can help you book one if you like.

Hi David, for your kids they can get the aerial pass and then you can get the discovery so they can go ziplining and then you and your wife can check out the animal sanctuary while they’re ziplining. Also if you would just like to go and hang out at the welcome center while they zipline and not buy a pass, that is fine too. You can get them aerial passes which is the ziplining tour.

    Thanks,

Hi Don, for March I’d say about at least a couple weeks before and then if you need transportation, we’ll send you some documents to fill out that you need to print and then take a picture of so if you want to get that done before you leave home so it’s easier, I’d highly recommend doing that. March is very busy (it’s our busiest month), so reservations are highly highly recommended.

If you order the transportation, how is it set up? When do they pick you up and will you be able to leave when you want or do they return to the hotel only at a specific time?

    Reply
    • Sammi says

      July 11, 2018

Hi Anthony! The pick up time will depend on your location so it’s from 830 AM – 9:15 AM from Coco, Secrets, Mangroove, Occidental, Pacifico and Coco Beach Hotel and it returns at 3:30 PM for the adventure pass. For Tamarindo/Conchal/Flamingo, it’s from 8-8:45 AM and returns at 3:30 PM. We will give you the exact time when we know where your pick up location is.

The shuttles are set times and if you would like to leave earlier or later, it will depend on availability otherwise it is set to return at 3:30 PM for the Adventure Pass. If you’re doing the Discovery Pass, return is at 12 PM.

This description was very accurate and we used the discount. Sammi made sure we got our reservation even though we signed up the day before. They were pretty flexible about your start time and had lockers there to put your things in, like towels if you plan to go to the beach afterwards. Your car is parked close by so it isn’t a big deal to leave stuff in the car if you can’t get a locker. The food was good at lunch and people were very friendly. The sloth feeding was disappointing at 12:30 since she apparently ate well at the 9:30 AM feeding, so you may want to try to be there for the morning feeding. Thanks for the help in getting the tickets.

I would like to know if there’s a set time on when this tour starts. Are we able to go in anytime and start the five hour tour? And if we decide to stay longer or shorter for the tour, are we able to leave anytime we want?

Hi Ting Ting, they run the ziplining tour from 9 AM to 3 PM at every half hour (except 12 and 1230 PM) and you can decide to do the zipline whenever you want during those times but you will need to reserve the zipline tour in advance to secure the time you want. You can leave anytime you’d like if you want to stay longer or shorter as it is an all day pass. The park is open from 830 AM to 430 PM and for all the activities, it takes about 5 hours.
