Description
Playa Flamingo is a popular launch point for fishing and snorkeling tours, thanks to its advantageous location on the Guanacaste coast so you cannot miss a Playa Flamingo private snorkeling tour with your friends and family.
Spend the day out in the beautiful water with your loved one on this exclusive private boat tour. As a private tour, you can choose how to spend your day!
Only want to snorkel? No problem. The boat captain will find the best snorkel spots depending on the conditions of that day. Want to see as many beaches as possible? No worries! The boat captain will arrange that to the best of their abilities.
Just want to chill and have a fun day? That's perfect. Take advantage of the toys included on this tour, such as the stand up paddle boards (suitable for first timers), snorkeling gear and fishing rods.
Along the way, you'll cruise at a leisurely speed, with plenty of time for you to take out your camera and snap as many photos as possible of the marine wildlife you may see along the way such as turtles, dolphins and humpback whales (in the season), the varying coastlines with sea caves and jutting rocks, and the different colored sand beaches.
Book the morning tour for better snorkeling conditions and water clarity. Book the afternoon tour if you wish to sail back under the famous sunset skies of Guanacaste.
*In the rainy season, we highly recommend the morning tour as it tends to rain more in the afternoons. These are months such as August, September and October. In January, February, and March, the afternoons can be windier so for any families with little kids or seniors, we recommend the morning tour for better conditions.*

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a dock to board the boat?
No. The pick up is a wet landing, so you need to walk from the beach into the water, about knee high, and get on the boat, climbing at least 2 ladder rungs. The boat captain and crew can assist your group onto the boat if needed.
The drop off is the same, a wet drop off. Please make sure you bring waterproof bags and backpacks to keep your belongings dry and wear sandals or water shoes.
How many people can go on the boat?
The boat holds up to 8 people (adults and children). Prices go by the number of people and if you wish to add the tube.
Will we see any animals?
It is always possible! In this area, you can see turtles, dolphins, rays, fish and if you visiting during the season, humpback whales. Peak humpback whale season time is January, February, August and September. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, but if the captain sees something along the way, they will stop and try to get the best viewing opportunities for you.
What is the towing tube?
The towing tube is an inflatable round shaped tube that is attached to the boat. The boat captain will cruise around the bay, towing the tube at varying speed, adding a lot more fun and excitement to your tour. It is suitable for kids and adults.
Do you recommend the morning or afternoon tour?
Both are awesome! The afternoon tour is special because you'll sail back under the spectacular sunset sky, and sunsets are something Flaming is famous for.
The morning tour tends to have better water clarity and conditions for snorkeling.
If you are visiting in the rainiest months, such as August, September and October, we recommend only the morning tour. The afternoons tends to get stormy and can rain a lot.
For December through March, the morning tour is better for little kids, seniors or those with mobility issues because it can get very windy in the afternoons.
Does the boat have a toilet?
Yes. The boat has a toilet, is partially covered and has parallel seating so there's plenty of room for the group to stretch out. The boat has a fresh water hose/shower, stereo sound system and is 31 feet long.
