The Cafe Britt Classic Coffee Tour provides leisurely coffee drinkers a fun and entertaining way to learn about Costa Rica’s high quality coffee. The classic coffee tour shares ample information about the Costa Rica coffee plantation process for guests to learn how the precious cherries end up in your morning cup of jo.

Are you a huge coffee lover? Then we recommend upgrading to the Coffee Lovers Experience* instead, as it goes deeper into the history, production, harvest and methods of coffee drinking for a more thorough and factual presentation.

*Coffee Lovers Experience tour runs everyday at 1:15 PM and takes 1 hour and 50 minutes.*

Cancellation policy

To receive a full refund, you must cancel the tour at least 24 hours before the experience date and start time. If cancelled in less than 24 hours of the tour date and start time, there is a 100% penalty fee. For groups of 15+, the service must be cancelled at least 72 hours before the experience start time. If groups are cancelled between 48-72 hours, there is a 50% penalty fee. If groups are cancelled in less than 48 hours of the start time, there will be a 100% penalty fee. All cancellations are subject to a 5% administration service fee.

All cancellation requests must be sent via email to us with written confirmation to avoid the penalty. No refunds for no shows. No refunds for cancellations the day of the tour. Changes are dependent upon availability and change requests must be received in more than 24 hours of the experience start time to be considered.

*Please note the tour starts promptly on time. If you are late and miss some of the experience, there is no opportunity to re-do the missed portion.*

Does the Cafe Britt Coffee Tour require a lot of walking?

No. The tour includes less than half a mile of walking, all on a paved path.

Does the Cafe Britt Coffee Tour take place outdoors?

Yes. Most of the experience is outdoors, there is a portion that is completely indoors (history and tasting presentation and roasting). It ends in the Britt shop, which is indoors.

Are children allowed?

Yes! Children of all ages may join the tour.

I don't have my own transportation, can you provide it?

Will I have a chance to buy coffee?

Yes. Cafe Britt has a large shop with all of their coffee, chocolate and other products.
