- Transportation available for an extra fee from hotels in La Fortuna.
- Children must be a minimum age of 5 to do the ziplining. Children 0-5 can only do the aerial tram and hanging bridges.
- 30 minute drive from La Fortuna downtown. 4x4 not necessary. High clearance car recommended in the rainy season.
- Maximum weight allowed for ziplining is 136 kg (300 lb). Maximum waist size for the harness is 117 cm (46 in). Maximum leg loop size for the harness is 67 cm (26 in). Minimum height is 1.10 meters (3’6 ft)

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you recommend a guided tour of the hanging bridges?
Yes, if you want a guide to share interesting facts about the surrounding flora and fauna. The guided hanging bridges tour takes around 2.5 hours, as they will stop along the way to talk about the local plants, wildlife and history of the area.
If you are not really that interested in a guide and would like to go at your own pace, then a self guided walk is perfectly fine. Signage is excellent and the trails are well maintained. Please stay on the trails and do not touch the plants, trees or wildlife.
I have never ziplined before, can I do this one?
Yes! The Sky Adventures Arenal zipline tour is faster and higher than some others, but if you have a good attitude, love adventure and do not have a fear of heights, you will love this zipline tour. We do not recommend this tour for those who have acrophobia, or an intense fear of heights.
No manual hand braking is required and they have a double braking system. The zipline tour is also hands free, so you will not be putting any hands on the cable, only the pulley. The guides will assist you in braking, getting on and off the cables.
No walking is involved as you will zipline from platform to platform. About halfway through, there is an area to rest a bit, they offer juice and seating areas, so you can take a little break.
If someone in my group doesn't want to zipline, can they still go to the park?
Yes! There is a restaurant and souvenir store, so if someone wants to sit out on the ziplining, they can hang out at the restaurant for the group.
Do they offer GoPro rentals?
Yes, if you do not have your own GoPro, they rent them. There will also be photos available for purchase after the zipline tour.
What happens if it rains?
Tours will run rain or shine but will not run if there is inclement weather that prevents the tours from running safely, which could be red/yellow alerts for hurricanes, tropical storms, lightning and high winds. We will inform you as soon as possible if there is inclement weather and offer the opportunity to reschedule or cancel without penalty if Sky Adventures cancels tours due to weather. If they continue to operate but you decide to cancel on your own accord, cancellation policies will apply.
