Description
This exclusive hiking tour offers an unforgettable experience for those who love exploring off the beaten path destinations.
You'll embark on an hour long drive along a 4x4 only road, winding through rainforest covered mountains and canyons while taking in spectacular views, until you reach the Pocosol ranger station nestled within the Children's Eternal Rainforest.
What makes this place very special is that Children's Eternal Rainforest is the largest private reserve in Costa Rica, created by children and preserved for those who truly love nature. This particular ranger station, Pocosol, has several trails of different lengths, leading to incredible view points.
For this tour, you will hike with your knowledgeable guide for about 2.5 hours through the peaceful rainforest, with chances to spot the diverse wildlife around, such as monkeys, hummingbirds, toucans, reptiles, sloths and much more. Your expert guide will take you to the favorite trail of this part of the reserve, "Velo de Novia" to see the spectacular waterfall.
If there is still time after this part of the hike and your energy level is still high, your guide can take you to another trail to explore more of this pristine forest and see the volcanic steam vents.
Enjoy views of a lagoon on your way back to the ranger station, and then rest and refuel yourself with a delicious, hearty traditional lunch.
