The Springs is a high end resort located just a little bit outside of La Fortuna, situated in the rainforest covered valley with an incredible view of Arenal Volcano.
For non-hotel guests, you can enjoy this gorgeous property on the Springs hot springs day pass - good for TWO consecutive days!
The resort has three separate hot springs sections with meticulously maintained lush gardens, natural hot springs mineral pools, chlorinated pools and beautiful views, making The Springs one of the most luxurious hot springs in all of Costa Rica.
The mineral spring pools are naturally heated by natural hot volcanic mineral water with temperatures ranging from 83°F to 104°F (28°C - 40°C) and filtered and cleaned everyday.
With this 2 day hot springs day pass, you will be able to visit one of Costa Rica's most famous hot springs resort and hotel, and relax in over twenty different pools and springs.

What are the different hot springs sections like?
There are three different sections which you have access to with the day pass.
Las Lagunas Pools - Near the main reception of the hotel, has several chlorinated pools and hot spring lagoons. There is a swim up bar with a view of Arenal Volcano. Various pool chairs and shaded terraces around the twelve pools, some with waterfalls. Eight pools are directly fed from the hot mineral springs and the remaining four are heated, chlorinated pools. Temperatures range from 86° F - 103° F (30° C - 39.4° C).
Perdido Springs - Seven natural mineral spring fed pools below Las Lagunas connected via a network of rainforest trails. There is a bar and rancho and the highlight is the Monkey Slide, open from 1230 PM to 8 PM. Temperatures of the pools range from 91° F - 104° F (32.8° C - 40° C).
Club Rio Springs - Hot spring pools bordering the Arenal River down at the Club Rio Adventure Center. Man crafted pools for beautiful scenic views of the river canyon and surrounding rainforest. The small but amazing pools are connected via a short nature trail. One of the pools is by a large ficus tree and one trail leads to the Ojo del Agua spring, where you can feel and touch the natural hot mineral water and bubbles.
If we want to buy food and drinks, can we?
Yes. You can pay with cash or credit card at the restaurants and bars.
Can we book activities at the Club Rio Adventure center?
Activities at Club Rio are not included in the hot springs day pass, but you may book activities directly at the adventure center when you are there. It is dependent upon availability. Please have cash or a credit card ready to pay them directly. We cannot book the Club Rio activities for you.
Can we come and go throughout the day?
Yes. The hot springs open at 8 AM and close at 10 PM. You may arrive at any time and you may come and go. If you come and go, you need to keep the bracelet on and have your reservation confirmation handy as the security will ask for it.
Can we separate the two days hot springs pass?
No. They MUST be used consecutively. The date you choose in the form will be your day 1.
Is the resort suitable for families?
Yes! With three different sections, a water slide and a swim up bar, The Springs Resort is perfect for all visitors of any age, whether they want to enjoy a few drinks in the pool, lay out and work on their tan, enjoy the water slide or soothe their muscles in the natural mineral waters.
