Description
The ocean loving, outdoorsy visitor will love this Manuel Antonio ocean kayaking and snorkeling tour. You'll embark on this adventure, departing from the Quepos pier.
Follow your trusty guide through the bay on your kayak, paddling past stunning coastlines with lush rainforest and next to soaring shore and marine birds.
About halfway through, you'll stop at Biesanz Bay, a local favorite. This 30 minute stops gives you time to rest or you can snorkel to spot small colorful fish. After the stop, you'll paddle back to the Quepos pier and spot more marine life along the way.
After you reach the pier, you'll be taken back to the operation center to refuel with a delicious homemade lunch.
This is a fun tour for the whole family, with older children and a must for those who love kayaking.

Frequently Asked Questions
I have never kayaked before, can I do this tour?
Yes, no previous experience is required, but you do need to be in good enough shape to paddle for a total of 2.5 hours.
There is a 30 minute break halfway through, so it is around 1 hour paddling each way.
Sea kayaking is easier than river kayaking and the bay is generally quite calm. Everyone must wear a life jacket.
The guide will give a safety presentation and briefing on how to kayak before you depart.
Can my child kayak with me?
Yes, there are double kayaks available. Children must be at least 8 years of age.
I get seasick, should I be worried?
If you get seasick, we recommend to take some motion sickness medicine like Dramamine just in case.
Is the morning or afternoon tour better?
The afternoon tour does not run in the rainy season, which are the months of May through November.
The morning tour tends to be less windy.
How is the snorkeling?
It is dependent upon conditions. Manuel Antonio does not have that great of snorkeling, but if conditions are ideal, you can see tropical fish, sometimes a sea turtle.
Can I bring a camera?
Yes, you can bring a waterproof camera like a GoPro or DJI Action Cam. If you want to bring any other items, you have to bring it in a waterproof dry bag. If you want to bring your phone, a waterproof phone pouch you hang on your neck is a good option.
The tour operator and Mytanfeet are not responsible for any damages or loss of belongings you bring on the kayak.
