Description
The jet ski tour departs from the dock in El Castillo, a small charming town about 30 minutes from La Fortuna. After you arrive at the operation center, you'll have time to change and get geared up to walk 5 minutes to the jet ski launch, where you'll receive the safety talk and instruction for a fun tour.
Your guide will lead you around Lake Arenal on this 1 hour and 20 minute jet ski ride, stopping at several thoughtfully chosen view points for guests to soak in views of the impressive Arenal Volcano and scenic Lake Arenal, refreshing not just the eyes, but all of the senses.
You'll have a chance to take pictures, freshen up with a swim in the cool lake water and learn about the importannce and interesting history of Lake Arenal.
After the jet ski tour, you'll go back to the operation center to change, and enjoy some delicious tropical fruit.

- Confirmation will be given upon tour booking and tour must be prepaid in full to book.
- Children must be at least 5 years to participate.
- Total weight allowed on one jet ski is 330 lbs / 150 kgs for single, double and triple jet ski. If the entire group exceeds this weight limit, they must separate. For example, if two people want to go on a double together, but weigh more than 330 lbs together, they each must drive a single jet ski.
- Must be at least 16 years of age to drive their own jet ski. If under 16, they must ride with an adult.
- Each driver must present their original driver's license.
- Triple jet skis are for 2 adults and 1 child age 5 - 11. Children between 12-15 must ride in a double with an adult.
- These are shared experiences.
- 5 schedules per day available.
- Transportation from Zone 1 in La Fortuna available for extra cost.
- Free on-site parking at operation center in El Castillo.
- Guests are not allowed to participate if deemed under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Pregnant women not allowed.

I have never driven a jet ski before, can I do the tour?
Yes. This tour is apt for first timers and beginners. The guides will give a thorough safety talk and instruction on how to operate the jet ski before the tour starts.
Can I bring my phone or belongings on the jet ski?
The jet ski has a secure compartment in the front console which you can store your belongings in. We recommend to still have a dry bag to put your phone and important items. Mytanfeet nor Outback Quads will be responsible for any damages to your belongings if you decide to bring anything on the jet ski.
You can bring an action camera like GoPro and you must be your own stick or mounts like a chest or hand mount. Outback Quads does not have helmets with the mount.
What happens if it rains?
The Lake Arenal jet ski tour runs rain or shine. The weather policies are as follows:
In the event of adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain, lightning, or amber/red weather alerts, the activity will be canceled. If the activity has already been in progress for over an hour, a 50% refund will be issued. If the activity has not commenced, it will be rescheduled or a full refund will be provided.
I don't need transportation, can I meet the group at the operation center?
Yes. You can drive to El Castillo and meet the group at the operation center. They have free on-site parking.
Do I need to know how to swim?
It is recommended. Every participant has to wear a life jacket and helmet. There is one stop along the tour where you have the chance to swim in the lake, but this is optional. You will be on your jet ski during the whole tour.
What should I wear during the tour?
Swimsuit and comfortable clothes on top like board shorts, sun shirt. You will get wet! You can wear water shoes or sandals.
