- Tour must be prepaid in full to book and confirmation will be sent upon booking.
- This is a private tour, only your group will be with your guide in the shuttle. There will be other groups doing activities at the same time, but it will only be your group with your guide.
- This is a full day tour. Return time may vary, as you can choose how long to spend at the hot springs which are open until 6 PM.
- Operation center and restaurant are located in main section of the property, separate from the hot springs. Transportation to hot springs, about a 5 minute drive, is included.
- Activities operate rain or shine.
- Weight limit for horseback riding is 240 pounds (108 kilos). Weight limit for ziplining is 300 pounds (136 kilos). Largest harness size is XXL.
- Pregnant women, people with epilepsy and people who had recent surgery or have major health conditions not allowed.
- Lockers and bathrooms available at main operation center. Lockers, restrooms and changing rooms available at hot springs.
Children Regulations
- Children must be at least 8 years of age with a minimum height of 140 cm (4'6 ft) to participate in all activities. Minimum age for the tubing is 8 and the minimum age for the ziplining is 4.
- If there are children between the ages of 4-8 that cannot do the tubing, an adult must accompany them to wait while the others do the tubing. The adult and children have the option to visit the Oropendola Waterfall at no extra charge while the others are tubing. No discount for children or adults that do not do the tubing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Guachipelin inside Rincon de la Vieja National Park?
No. Hacienda Guachipelin is a hotel with adventure park that is right outside the entrance of Rincon de la Vieja National Park. The Guachipelin passes do not include national park tickets and you will not see the volcano.
What is the itinerary?

Pick up is around 7 AM.
Arrive to Guachipelin around 9 AM.
*The park will inform the guide the order of activities.*
Return around 5-6 PM, if you stay at the hot springs until 3-4 PM.
Is this tour suitable for families?
Yes, this tour is great for active families. Children must be 8 years of age, with a minimum height of 140 cm (4'6 ft) to participate in the activities.
How physically demanding is the tour?
The tour does not require any previous experience, but guests should be comfortable walking and being active for several hours in temperatures around 30° - 34° C (86° - 93° F).
What is the canopy tour like?
This ziplining tour is super fun as it takes place in the White River canyon. It has seven cables, one hanging bridge, two Tarzan swings, a controlled 20 meter (65 foot) rappel, natural rock climbing wall. The entire circuit takes between 90 minutes and two hours, depending on the amount of people.
What is the horseback riding like? Will I miss out a lot if I don't do it?
The horseback riding is around 45 minutes and goes through dry tropical forest and depending on conditions, stops at a waterfall. It ends at the start of the river tubing.
If you do not take the horseback riding portion, you will ride in a vehicle to the river tubing.
Are the hot springs natural? Are the mud baths at the hot springs?
Yes. The hot springs are naturally heated by the Rincon de la Vieja volcano.
The mud baths are at the hot springs, so you will enjoy the volcanic mud bath first, and then soak in the hot springs.
Is lunch included?
Yes, a buffet style Costa Rican lunch is included. It typically includes rice, beans, salad, protein and vegetarian options. Please let us know in advance if you have dietary restrictions.
Is transportation included?
Round trip transportation from your hotel and transportation to the hot springs are included.
What should I wear?
Comfortable active, outdoor clothes that do not restrict movement. For the tubing, a swimsuit and it is recommended to wear shorts and a sun shirt, as you will be sitting/laying down on a hard tube for about 2 hours. You must have closed toed shoes. Open toed shoes are not allowed. You can wear adventure sandals as long as there is a toe bumper (like KEEN Newport H2).
Can I skip an activity if I don’t want to do everything?
Yes. If you do not wish to do an activity, you can sit out and wait for the group. There is no refund or price difference if you do not do an activity. You can wait at the operation center, where there is Wi-Fi.
