For those who want to learn more about Costa Rican culture, history and traditions, this tour is for you. You'll first visit the Doka Coffee Estate, to take an informative and interesting tour of one of Costa Rica's oldest coffee plantations and learn how they produce some of the country's highest quality coffee.
After the plantation tour, you'll have a delicious Costa Rican lunch, complete with coffee, traditional dishes and juice.
Next, you'll visit the small town of Grecia, one of Costa Rica's cleanest cities. There, you'll step inside the only metal church in the country to learn about its highly unusual history and admire its unique architecture and design.
Lastly, you'll stop at Sarchi, another small city known as the birthplace of the artisanal craftsmanship in Costa Rica. You'll visit one of the oldest oxcart factories and learn why and how Sarchi produces such wonderful woodworkers, painters and craftsmans. At the same time, you'll have a chance to shop for exceptional one of a kind souvenirs, handmade by the local artists.

Is there anywhere to stop for breakfast?
No, the tour does not include breakfast. Please have breakfast before getting picked up. You will have lunch after the coffee tour, which is the first stop.
How much walking is there?
This is a leisurely sightseeing tour so there is no hiking involved. The most walking will be during the coffee tour, as you walk from station to station in the plantation.
Is the tour all outdoors?
Yes, the only indoor portion is the last part of the coffee tour where you see the roasting process and have lunch. The stores in Sarchi are indoor as well, when you have the opportunity to go souvenir shopping.
