Description
Discover the tropical rainforests of the West Caribbean and Sarapiqui on this one day tour. First, you'll drive 45 minutes to Rainforest Adventures Park, renowned for its incredible biodiversity as it borders Braulio Carrillo National Park, which is home to primary and secondary rainforests, cloud forests, and volcanoes.
Along the drive, you'll pass through Costa Rica's longest tunnel and the guide will share some interesting history and facts about the area.
Rainforest Adventure Park offers visitors the chance to see the rainforest from the perspective of a bird, and to either soar above the rainforest on an exciting zipline tour or to soak in the rainforest views on a peaceful aerial tram ride.
The aerial tram is 45 minutes each way, giving visitors ample time to feast their eyes on the surrounding lush jungle.
After the zipline and aerial tram, the guide will take you to a small sloth sanctuary at the park, to see these adorable creatures up close and learn about them.
After visiting the park, you'll visit the Sarapiqui canton to take a river boat wildlife watching safari cruise down the pristine SarapiquĂ River with an experienced local boat captain and your bilingual guide to see the rainforest by water.
Your guide will point out flora and fauna you see during this 2 hour boat ride and you'll have chances to see animals such as caimans, crocodiles, howler monkeys, white face monkeys, iguanas, herons and river birds.
Your last activity will allow you to experience the rainforest from the normal perspective, on an easy nature walk through the Selva Verde Eco Lodge's private reserve, one of the very first private nature reserves in Sarapiqui.
With over 500 acres (202 hectares) of primary and secondary rainforest, your guide will lead you through the nature trails to see more wildlife, such as poison dart frogs, toucans, sloths and monkeys.
After the walk, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch at the Selva Verde Eco Lodge and then head back to San Jose.

Can I change the zipline/aerial tram later? I'm not sure which one I want to do
We need to know in advance because they have to secure the equipment and spot for the ziplining. Additionally, the rate for the tour with the aerial tram and canopy have a small difference.
You can ask the guide when you arrive at the park if you want to change your activity, but it is not guaranteed they can accommodate the switch, as it is dependent upon availability.

Yes. Please write in the comment section how many want to zipline and how many want to do the aerial tram.
Is the zipline suitable for first timers? What is it like?
Yes, it is suitable for first timers and those who have already ziplined. It has 7 cables and 11 platforms with an automatic braking system. The last line has incredible views of the rainforest, and the other cables go over rivers and through the forest canopy.
