Description
Feel like a bird on this exciting Arenal Canopy adventure that lets you fly through the rainforest canopy tops for unbeatable views. Soak in the natural beauty of Arenal and La Fortuna from a unique bird's-eye perspective as you zip through the jungle on a network of 13 platforms and 8 cables, all with varying heights, speeds, views, and lengths.
Your tour starts with gear fitting, as the guide equips you with a helmet, harness, and gloves. Then the guide will give an introduction to show you how to brake, where to put your hands and feet, what the hand signals mean, and how to have a great time. The ziplining tour will then officially start with the first cable, which is equivalent to the "bunny slope" to get you warmed up.
This carefully crafted, heart-pumping adventure caters to beginners, first-timers, thrill-seekers, and children. The professional guides will not only make you feel extremely safe throughout the entire experience but will also make you laugh and point out various flora and fauna along the way, enhancing your experience even more.
To make this experience even more heart-pumping, you have a chance for an optional Tarzan swing!

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this zipline appropriate for beginners?
Yes! This is a very family friendly and beginner friendly ziplining tour. This zipline tour is not geared to be the fastest, highest or craziest so it's perfect for young kids or first timers.
The first cable is a "bunny slope" cable to get guests comfortable and be assured that by the 4 or 5th cable, you will be wishing that each cable was a little bit longer! By the end, you will feel like a PRO!
There will be two expert guides with your group at all times, watching every guest to make sure everyone is safely connected, to assist with braking and to help with disconnecting the cables.
Helmets are mandatory to be worn at all times. Gloves will be given to all guests which must be worn at all times.
What is the minimum age requirement for the tour?
Children must be at least 5 years old to participate in the tour. Young children will go with a guide in the same harness.
What should I wear for the Arenal Canopy Adventure?
- Comfortable, lightweight clothing
- Long pants or shorts that allow easy movement
- Closed-toe shoes
- No loose jewelry or clothing
- Rain jacket or shell in rainy season
How long does the entire zipline tour take?
The entire experience is around 2 hours including safety talk and gear fitting.
What is the Tarzan Swing, and is it mandatory?
The Tarzan Swing is an optional activity. You do not have to decide now if you want to do it or not, you can decide when you get there.
You will walk up a platform to get strapped into the rope swing and then swing
extra-exciting activity where you swing from a high platform. It adds an extra thrill to the tour but is completely optional. If you're feeling adventurous, you can participate; if not, you can skip this part of the tour without missing the main zipline experience.
Are there weight or height restrictions?
There is no weight limit but the maximum waist width cannot exceed 4.2 feet (130 cm) due to the size of the harness. Pregnant women, people with epilepsy and people who had recent major surgery in the last 6 months or have major health conditions not allowed.
What happens if the weather is bad?
This tour will run rain or shine but will be cancelled if there is inclement weather that prevents this tour to run safely such as lightning strikes, flooding, Red Alerts and the such. In those situations, we will offer to reschedule and if rescheduling is not an option, we will proceed to cancel without a penalty fee as long as the tour has not begun.
Amy says
Hi
If someone wanted to stop partially through the zip lining, not continue some of the zip lines is that possible? Can you walk ahead to meet the group?
Sammi says
Not really, they have an emergency pathway after I think the first or second cable, in case someone gets too scared and decides to turn back. Non zipliners cannot walk on this path, they have to stay at the reception.
